Hmmm.... there's nothing like a good lamb chop to perk up a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of mint sauce too...
Your sporting stuff is pretty irrelevent to here though bc we're so crap at rugby, cricket... everything we've passed on to you via the "Empire" ... know what I mean... no Brit is qualified to comment upon sporting excellence any more. Well that's my opinion...
My true ambition as a child was to be a writer (a smoking writer, I suppose) ... in fact that was my only ambition, to write. It's the only thing I've ever wanted to do. Much to the sniggers of classmates / etc I told careers teachers/ etc when we had to publicly confess our goals I wanted to be a "novelist" ... and felt no shame though I felt mass disapproval. I suppose this sounded almost as head in the clouds as saying "I want to be a movie star" ... There's only my own self in the way of making such dreams come true (and I have a finished book ~ this isn't just all talk).. it's just a question of tidying up the draft I've got or writing another book. I am going to write another book.
So there. I've revealed to someone I don't know what I am doing and going to do.
Strangely I see a nonsmoking self in the future as I don't want to die of emphesema. So ho-hummmm ...!

I never thought they'd do it, but good on 'em! All in all, it was a great game of rugby.

Scorpy - Nice one mate.
Max - by the look of your cheeks, the Wallabies scouts already have you in their sights. Front Row, RWC 2027.
Gled - congrats on the longest ever comment on this blog.
Jin - welcome to SurferCam. And I couldn't agree more!
Neily - you're right, and they are both kiwis...
